Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bn Fawzān al-Fawzān
From the believers is one who does righteous deeds and strives in the path of Allāh and does not abandon any opportunity for good except that he does it.
Then he dies and he does not obtain any of his reward; why? Because his reward is in the hereafter. His reward was not in the worldly life. His reward is in the hereafter.
Allāh is the Most Just of the Judges. It is not possible for him to put to waste the actions of the doer.
So when he doesn’t give the believer anything in this world and he is an obedient man who does (righteous) deeds. This is because Allāh has preserved his reward for him till the hereafter.
The worldly life is the home of work and the hereafter is the he of recompense.
Many at times, a believer is seen striving (in the path of Allāh), giving in charity, and acts and acts (righteous actions) and he does not obtain anything from his reward. (This is) because Allāh preserved it for him till the hereafter.
And a disbeliever and a polytheist and an immorral individual is seen doing malicious deeds and he does not obtain punishment in this worldly life; (this is) because Allāh preserved his punishment in the hereafter.
This is a proof for the resurrection. This is from the proofs of the resurrection. That the people perform good and evil deeds in this worldly life and do not obtain anything from their recompense and Allāh does not wrong anyone. This indicates that there is another dwelling for recompense. Na’am.
