He says: I am a person who is afflicted with the love of impermissible images and I have repented severally, but I return again and I fear that Allah will make me die while I am in this situation?
The answer is two affairs:
Whoever is afflicted with the love of attractive images, that indicates the weakness of his ikhlās.
Due to that, the fitnah (tribulation) of women and impermissible images were averted from Yūsuf عليه السلام due to his ikhlās.
The evidence is:
﴾كَذَٰلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَٱلْفَحْشَآءَ﴿ ۚ
“Thus it was, that We might turn away from him evil and illegal sexual intercourse.”
[Complete (the verse)]
﴾إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ﴿
“Surely, he was one of Our chosen, guided slaves.” [Yusuf:24]
Everytime your ikhlās gets stronger, you move farther away from the fitnah of impermissible images.
This is an affair.
Secondly: Stay away from the means to getting closer to impermissible images.
The man is weak.
﴾وَخُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ ضَعِيفًا﴿
“And man was created weak (cannot be patient to leave sexual intercourse with woman)”
﴾يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْ ۚ وَخُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ ضَعِيفًا﴿
“Allah wishes to lighten (the burden) for you; and man was created weak (cannot be patient to leave sexual intercourse with woman).” [Nisa: 28]
No one should get close to fitan (tribulations) and their causes and then claim that he will be firm.
Due to that, the Sharī’ah provided the means that will make you safe from fitan. From these means is to stay away from them.
“Whoever hears of the Dajjal…” He should get closer to him? No. “He should stay away from him.”
How will you deal with the fitan of impermissible images while you browse the internet, day and night?
What will you do?
You are claiming that you will repent from [looking at] these images but you do not stop following the pages and the websites. There is choice for you except to cut the root of the means. This is the cure. Cut off the root of the means.
As long as you have the means that weaken you, you will be stricken down, day by day.
If you are truly repentant and you fear that Allah might take your soul in this situation, the place that makes you lose the fear of Allah and religiousness, leave it.
Leave a bad friend.
Leave a bad website.
Leave looking at (impermissible) images.
Cut the root of idleness, for indeed, idleness is the door to these destructive matters. And whoever is busy with the truth will turn away from falsehood.
Keep yourself busy with what is beneficial and keep yourself distracted from these filths, and be keen to strengthen your obedience [to Allah].
And from the greatest means of protection is being diligent with the Qur’an—in its recitation, contemplation, and memorization.
Enrol in religious institutions. Stay away from all evil.
