مَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَتَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ إِلَى مَرَدٍّ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنْظُرُونَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَلَا إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ فِي عَذَابٍ مُقِيمٍ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ [الشورى:44-46].مَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَتَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ إِلَى مَرَدٍّ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنْظُرُونَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَلَا إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ فِي عَذَابٍ مُقِيمٍ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ [الشورى:44-46
﴾And whomsoever Allah sends astray, for him there is no Wali (protector) after Him. And you will see the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, oppressors, etc.) when they behold the torment, they will say: “Is there any way of return (to the world)?”
And you will see them brought forward to it (Hell) made humble by disgrace, (and) looking with stealthy glance. And those who believe will say: “Verily, the losers are they who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Verily, the Zalimun [i.e. Al-Kafirun (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness and in His Messenger ﷺ, polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.)] will be in a lasting torment.
And they will have no Auliya’ (protectors) to help them other than Allah. And he whom Allah sends astray, for him there is no way.﴿ [ash-Shūrá:44-46]
Shaykh ’Abd al-’Azīz bn Abdillāh bn Bāz:
There is no might nor power except by Allāh. There is no might nor power except by Allāh.
Reciter:
يَقُولُ تَعَالَى مُخْبَرًا عَنْ نَفْسِهِ الْكَرِيمَةِ أَنَّهُ ما يشاء كَانَ، ولَا رَادَّ لَهُ، ومَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فَلَا مُوجِدَ لَهُ، وأَنَّهُ مَنْ هداه فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، ومَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَا هادي له، كما قال : وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِيًّا مُرْشِدًا [الكهف:17]
He the Exalted says, informing about His noble Self, that verily whatever he wills will be and there is no one that can prevent it, and whatever he does not will cannot be and no one can bring it into existence. And that whoever he guides, no one can lead him astray and whoever he leads astray, no one can guide him, as He said (what means):
﴾But he whom He sends astray, for him you will find no Wali (guiding friend) to lead him (to the right Path).﴿ [al-Kahf:17]
ثم قال مُخْبِرًا عَنِ الظَّالِمِينَ، وهُمُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ بِاللَّهِ: لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ أي: يوم القيامة تمنوا الرَّجْعَةَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا يَقُولُونَ هَلْ إِلى مَرَدٍّ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ كما قال جل وعلا: وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى النَّارِ فَقَالُوا يَالَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [الأنعام:27].
Then He said, informing about the wrongdoers, and they are those who associate partners with Allāh (in his lordship, worship and names and attributes): ﴾When they behold the torment﴿ i.e the day of resurrection, they will wish to go back to the Dunyá (worldly life), ﴾they will say: “Is there any way of return (to the world)?”﴿.
As Allāh, the Majestic and Most High said (what means):
﴾If you could but see when they will be held over the (Hell) Fire! They will say: “Would that we were but sent back (to the world)! Then we would not deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of our Lord, and we would be of the believers!”﴿ [al-An’ām:27]
الشيخ: هيهات هيهات، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله! هذه دار الأمنية، هذه الدار الآن يتمناها الكفار يوم القيامة، وليس لهم سبيل، فالعاقل ينتهز الفرصة في هذه الدار، أنت الآن في باب المهلة، دار يتمناها الكفار يوم القيامة لعله يحصل لهم توبة وحسنة، هيهات وأنت تفرط فيها الآن تضيع أيامك ولياليك، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله!
Shaykh ’Abd al-’Azīz bn Abdillāh bn Bāz:
Far-fetched, very far-fetched. And there is no might nor power except by Allāh. This (dunyá) is the abode that is being aspired for. This abode will be wished for by disbelievers on the day of resurrection, and there is no way for them (to return). So, the sensible individual seizes the opportunity of this abode. You are currently in the abode of respite. The abode that the disbelievers will wish for on the day of resurrection, perhaps they might repent or do good deeds. (This is) far-fetched. And you are being negligent about it, you are currently wasting your days and nights. And there is no might nor power except by Allāh. Na’am.
Reciter:
وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى النَّارِ فَقَالُوا يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بَلْ بَدَا لَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُخْفُونَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا لَعَادُوا لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ [الْأَنْعَامِ:27، 28].
﴾If you could but see when they will be held over the (Hell) Fire! They will say: “Would that we were but sent back (to the world)! Then we would not deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of our Lord, and we would be of the believers!”. Nay, it has become manifest to them what they had been concealing before. But if they were returned (to the world), they would certainly revert to that which they were forbidden. And indeed they are liars.﴿ [al-An’ām:27, 28]
Shaykh ’Abd al-’Azīz bn Abdillāh bn Bāz:
We ask Allāh for wellbeing.
Reciter:
وَقَوْلُهُ : وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا أَيْ: عَلَى النَّارِ خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ أَيِ: الَّذِي قَدِ اعْتَرَاهُمْ بِمَا أسلفوا من عصيان الله تعالى يَنْظُرُونَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ، قَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ: يَعْنِي ذليل، أَيْ: يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهَا مُسَارِقَةً خَوْفًا مِنْهَا، والَّذِي يَحْذَرُونَ مِنْهُ واقِعٌ بِهِمْ لَا مَحَالَةَ، ومَا هُوَ أَعْظَمُ مِمَّا فِي نُفُوسِهِمْ، أَجَارَنَا اللَّهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ
And His statement (which means): ﴾And you will see them brought forward to it﴿ i.e to Hellfire; ﴾made humble by disgrace,﴿ i.e (the disgrace) that had taken over them due to what they sent forth of disobedience to Allāh, the Most High; ﴾(and) looking with stealthy glance﴿ Mujāhid said: “(Khafiyy) means miserable” i.e they will be stealing glances at it due to fear of it and that which they are being cautious of (i.e their entering of the Hellfire) will surely happen to them without doubt, and what is more severe than what is in there hearts (of fear and tremor). May Allāh grant us refuge from that.
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَيْ: يَقُولُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ أَيِ: الْخَسَارُ الْأَكْبَرُ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَيْ: ذَهَبَ بِهِمْ إِلَى النَّارِ فَعُدِمُوا لَذَّتَهُمْ فِي دَارِ الْأَبَدِ، وخَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ، وفُرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمْ، وبَيْنَ أحبابهم، وأصحابهم، وأَهَالِيهِمْ، وقَرَابَاتِهِمْ فَخَسِرُوهُمْ أَلَا إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ فِي عَذَابٍ مُقِيمٍ أَيْ: دَائِمٍ سَرْمَدِيٍّ أَبَدِيٍّ لَا خُرُوجَ لَهُمْ مِنْهَا، ولَا مَحِيدَ لَهُمْ عَنْهَا.
﴾And those who believe will say:﴿ i.e they will say on the day of resurrection; ﴾”Verily, the losers﴿ i.e the greatest losers ﴾are they who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection.﴿ i.e they were driven to the Hellfire and were prevented from taking delight in the everlasting abode, and they lose themselves and they are separated from their loved ones, their companions, their families and their relatives, they lose them all. ﴾Verily, the Zalimun [i.e. Al-Kafirun (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness and in His Messenger ﷺ, polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.)] will be in a lasting torment.﴿ i.e permanent, endless, everlasting (torment), they have no exit from it and they cannot escape from it.
وقوله تعالى: وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَيْ: يُنْقِذُونَهُمْ مِمَّا هُمْ فِيهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ والنَّكَالِ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ أَيْ: لَيْسَ لَهُ خَلَاصٌ.
And His, the Most High’s statement (which means): ﴾And they will have no Auliya’ (protectors) to help them other than Allah.﴿ i.e that will rescue them from what they are experiencing from torment and punishment ﴾And he whom Allah sends astray, for him there is no way.﴿ i.e he has no way out.
Shaykh ’Abd al-’Azīz bn Abdillāh bn Bāz:
We ask Allāh for wellbeing. (Unclear words). We ask Allāh for wellbeing and safety. Na’am.
Reciter:
﴾Answer the Call of your Lord (i.e. accept the Islamic Monotheism, O mankind, and jinns) before there comes from Allah a Day which cannot be averted. You will have no…﴿
Shaykh ’Abd al-’Azīz bn Abdillāh bn Bāz:
Stop here. May Allāh reward you. There is no might nor power except by Allāh. There is no might nor power except by Allāh.
