Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bn Fawzān al-Fawzān:
And I heard Shaykh Muḥammad bn Ibrāhīm -may Allāh have mercy on him- during a speech he delivered in one of the occasions in the faculty of ash-Sharī’ah (Islāmic legislation). He urged with this Ḥadeeth and he said: Verily, the Ṣadaqah al-Jāriyah (the flowing charity) might cease and the righteous child will die i.e the benefits from both of them stops. However, (as for) beneficial knowledge, it continues and it does not cease. Benefitting from it continues and the reward for it’s companion (i.e the one who benefitted others with his knowledge during his lifetime) also continues. So this is from what differentiates knowledge from other than it from the righteous actions.
