Points discussed during the class:
- The risālah, Masāil Al-Jāhiliyyah teaches what shirk and Tawhīd are as well as the methodology (Manhaj) of the people of the Truth and the people of falsehood.
- Abstaining from the truth is from the ways of the people of jāhiliyyah and hizbiyyah.
- The people of jāhiliyyah and hizbiyyah reject the truth when they find that the poor and the weak are the ones who preceded them in it.
- They claim that they are more deserving of Jannah than the weak and poor.
- The most honourable in the sight of Allāh is the one who has Taqwā.
- Iblīs was the first one to use false analogy and so, all the people of jāhiliyyah and hizbiyyah and bid’ah who use false analogy are like Iblīs.
- Fir’awn and those who followed him knew that Mūsā came with the truth but refused to accept it because of their arrogance and haughtiness.
- Abū Tālib also rejected the truth that Muhammad ﷺ came with because he feared the censure of his tribesmen against him.
