Question
May Allāh be benevolent to you. What is the ruling on a woman breastfeeding her baby in the state of fasting?
Shaykh Muḥammad bn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn
There is no problem in her breastfeeding her baby while she is fasting. However, if she fears that her milk will reduce to the extent of harming the baby due to fasting, then she should not fast, even during Ramaḍān.
