Question:
We have a sister with us that is afflicted with magic, and when I recite ruqya on her, the Jinn speaks to me and she orders my brothers to open the window, the window of the house and they carry out her orders.
Answer:
This is not befitting! The Jinn are known for deceit, cunningness , and distracting the person reciting Ruqya.
Sometimes, the Jinn who possess a woman or a man distracts you from recitation, and start talking to you about affairs so you can stop the recitation, because he is incinerated when the Qur’an is being recited on him.
Another affair is that they are known for lying, beware of believing them.
“He spoke the truth to you, but he is a habitual liar” (the statement of the prophet ﷺ regarding Shaytan)
“’And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.” [Jinn:6]
Don’t trust him, especially if he says, “the one who put me into this body is so and so,” and you build enmity and hatred on this statement.
He wants to divide the family and the relatives. Don’t rely upon this.
What is required from you as the one who recites ruqya is that you recite the Qur’an, and if he wants to stop you, do not allow him, continue the recitation, until he screams to go out. This is what is compulsory.
But if you open the door with him, and he starts saying to you that “Open the window, take this away, take this down”, all of these is for you not to remain upon the recitation.
