May Allāh bless you, our Shaykh and may He be benevolent to you.
The first question in this gathering says: When is the repentance of an innovator accepted and when is it not accepted?
Shaykh ʿUbayd bn ʿAbdillāh Al-Jābirī
The outweighing [opinion] with us is that it [i.e his repentance] is accepted, like every other sin. And as I have mentioned..[unclear]. Naʿam.
Thus, all sins–Shirk and sins lesser than it–repentance is accepted from it.
Whoever is a Muslim, ascribes to Islām, but slaughters [animals] for other than Allāh, makes vows to other than Allāh, and calls upon other than Allāh from the Awliyāʾ and the righteous; if he repents from this, his repentance is accepted.
Naʿam.

Bārakallāh fīkum, our Shaykh. The second question in this gathering, the questioner says: a man…
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh bn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Bukhārī
[Cuts in] May Allāh preserve you. It seems the brother is asking based upon what was reported in a hadīth; “Indeed, Allāh has concealed/veiled repentance from every person of innovation.”
Shaykh ʿUbayd bn ʿAbdillāh Al-Jābirī
Naʿam. Naʿam. [It is] an indication. No doubt, it is an indication. However, this is from the hadīths related to threats.
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh bn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Bukhārī
And what is correct regarding it [i.e the ḥadīth], our Shaykh, may Allāh preserve you, is that this hadīth is munkar (rejected) and not authentic.
Shaykh ʿUbayd bn ʿAbdillāh Al-Jābirī
All praise is due to Allāh. I think it was authenticated by Al-Albānī or other than him. Naʿam.
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh bn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Bukhārī
After a detailed study, I concluded on its rejected nature.
Shaykh ʿUbayd bn ʿAbdillāh Al-Jābirī
Nice. Allāh willing, bring it afterwards… I’ll make a follow-up on it.
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh bn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Bukhārī
This is the summary, Shaykh and it suffices.
Shaykh ʿUbayd bn ʿAbdillāh Al-Jābirī
Alright then. It is a Munkar hadīth. And in reality, I acted based upon the authentication of Imām Al-Albānī, may Allāh have mercy on him.
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh bn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Bukhārī
No problem.
Shaykh ʿUbayd bn ʿAbdillāh Al-Jābirī
However, as is well known, from the principles of the people of knowledge and faith is that; the one who knows is a proof over the one who does not.
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh bn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Bukhārī
May Allāh reward you Shaykh. May Allāh acknowledge you.
Shaykh ʿUbayd bn ʿAbdillāh Al-Jābirī
May Allāh reward, our Shaykh.
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh bn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Bukhārī
And you.
